Bath and Body Works Twilight Woods

Bath and Body Works just released their newest scent, Twilight Woods, which they describe as their “warmest, coziest fragrance ever”. Well, that’s quite a statement! The packaging does have a warm feel to it, with silhouettes of trees in mauve and copper tones, so that’s a good start. The scent was inspired by a romantic walk in enchanted woods and features notes of apricot nectar, mimosa petals, and Tuscan cyprus.

The reviews so far for this fragrance are great, and I’m sure that Twilight Woods fragrance, bath and body, and home scented products will be on many a Christmas wishlist this year. Plus, the name contains the word “twilight”, and goodness knows how crazy popular that word is these days!

Twilight Woods Fragrance Notes

Top Notes: Juicy Berry, Sparkling Mandarin, and a hint of Coconut

Middle Notes: Creamy Frangipani, Soft Mimosa, Wet Honeysuckle, Wild Freesia, and Apricot Nectar

Bath and Body Works The Perfect Autumn 2009

Bath and Body Works has released The Perfect Autumn home fragrance collection for 2009. The line features three scents, including Harvest Berry, a bright red berry, featuring invigorating bergamot and cassis notes blended with light citrus, jasmine, and anise; Leaves, featuring autumnal notes of golden nectar, mandarin, and red delicious apple, paired with toasted cinnamon stick, mulled cider spices, and red berries; and Ginger Vanilla, a rich, creamy caramel with fresh nutmeg and delicious gingerbread, blended with candied apple, lemon zest, and warm vanilla.

The Perfect Autumn scents are available in 14.5 oz. filled candles (shown above), boxed filled candles, home fragrance oil, wallflowers, and concentrated room spray.

Bath and Body Works Semi Annual Sale, Summer 2009

It’s that time of the year again, time for the Bath and Body Works Semi-Annual Sale. The sale started online yesterday, and it starts today in BBW stores. Just from a brief perusal of the website, it looks like they’ve got a lot of great deals going on: $5 on select Wallflowers, $4 Signature Foam Bursts, $5 Signature Collection Classics, $5 Signature Creamy BodyWash, Buy 2, Get 2 Free Body Lotion & Shower Gel, 2 for $5 Travel Sizes (perfect for all of those upcoming summer vacations), and more.

What will you be stocking up on during this season’s sale? Some fresh Sea Island Cotton, or some sexy Black Amethyst? Whatever your favorites, be sure to get there early to get the best choice. I hope you all get everything on your wishlist!

Bath and Body Works Butterfly Flower

Bath and Body Works has a preview of their new fragrance, Butterfly Flower, over on their site. It’s always fun when BBW releases a new scent, and this one seems to be all about spring, what with the name Butterfly Flower and the fresh and airy fragrance notes in the scent itself.

At the time of this posting, you can pick up Butterfly Flower in a trial size lotion and a few home fragrance items. Can’t wait to see how this one does!

C.O. Bigelow Face Collection

The Face Collection, the latest product line from Bath and Body Works line C.O. Bigelow, includes a variety of serums, creams, and scrubs formulated with natural ingredients. The line is available online at the BBW shop and in select stores only.

I’m intrigued by a number of products in the Face line, including the Tropical Fruit Face Scrub, formulated with pineapple and papaya extracts and almond meal for exfoliation. The Multi-Nutrient Repair Serum also includes fruit extracts, as well as vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants to repair your skin’s appearance.

I’d also like to try the Acai Repair Night Cream and Power Berry Mask, both of which contain antioxidant rich Brazilian acai berry, the new superstar of the antioxidant world. See the full C.O. Bigelow Face line here.

Bath and Body Works Wallflowers

Bath and Body Works Wallflowers are the easiest way to scent your home, especially if you live in an apartment building or other enviroment where the open flame of a candle may not be allowed or desired. Wallflowers provide 6-8 weeks of fragrance and include a refillable fragrance bulb and diffuser that snap together and plug into any wall socket.

Bath and Body Works has made the Wallflowers available in pretty much any fragrance that they offer in their scented candle line, from spicy Cinnamon Stick and Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin to Bartlett Pear (my fave!), Cotton Blossom, and other signature and holiday BBW scents. They’re a wonderful alternative to candles or incense for continuous home fragrance, and Bath and Body Works offers some great sales on them from time to time so you can stock up!

Tutti Dolci by Bath and Body Works

Remember Bath and Body Works’ Tutti Dolci line? A few years ago, during its oh too brief appearance in BBW stores, this product line was smokin’ hot! I can remember everyone talking about how they couldn’t wait to see what was going to come out next, as they swooned over sweet scents like Angel Food Cake, Cinnamon Frosting, and Sugar Wafer. Just hearing those names is making me hungry!

The packaging for the Tutti Dolci line was also a standout — the sexagonal (seriously, that’s the word) souffle and candle jars and pink/silver labels gave Tutti Dolci products a more boutique-y feel, while the delectable scents were definitely in line with the bakery scent craze.

Unfortunately, BBW decided to discontinue the entire Tutti Dolci line right around the time that they started to introduce the Temptations products. To say that a lot of people were bummed would be an understatement. No more Sugar Wafer? No more Angel Food Cake? I guess that Bath and Body Works wanted to quit Tutti Dolci while it was still on top, but it was still a bummer. Thankfully, you can still find a pretty good variety from the line on eBay. Check out all of the Tutti Dolci scents as a part of the BBW retired scent list.

Bath and Body Works Shea Cashmere

Bath & Body Works introduced the Shea Cashmere collection in autumn 2008. The collection is part of the True Blue Spa line and features high end, modern spa packaging. The ultra moisturizing products and warm, vanilla scent are the perfect comfort during winter months when skin can become unpleasantly dry. The line includes Shea Cashmere Foot Cream, Body Lotion, Hand Cream, Body Cream, Bubble Bath (love the cozy packaging!), and Shower Cream. Accessories include The Perfect Cashmere ballerina slippers, knit bears, and luxe robes.

BBW currently has the Shea Cashmere collection on sale at their website, and eBay has something for everyone from the luxurious line.

Bath and Body Works Blackberry Amber (Discontinued)

Introduced in 2007, Bath and Body Works’ Blackberry Amber line was a big hit with the berries and musk crowd. Unfortunately, BBW discontinued this scent in 2008, much to the chagrin of many a fan. Blackberry amber lotion, shower gel, eau de toilette, and anything else with the scent is being snapped up quickly on eBay. As with any fan fave, we can hope that they bring it back for at least a little while during one of their “classics” limited time re-introductions.

Base Notes: Blackberry, Red Raspberry, Dewberry
Mid Notes: Jasmine, Heliotrope, Caramel
