Even if you don’t wear or particularly enjoy perfume, you’ve undoubtedly heard of Chanel No. 5. The now legendary fragrance was the first from Parisian fashion icon Coco Chanel. Introduced in 1921, the fragrance has since become the company’s most famous perfume and, arguably, the most recognizable and famous perfume of any company.

The bold, feminine floral perfume became a favorite of Americans in the 1950s, when screen siren Marilyn Monroe endorsed Chanel No. 5. To this day, the fragrance is still associated with the starlet.
